Q: DESCRIBE GOODVIBESONLYIX?

A: When I came up the concept of GVIX (abbreviation for GOODVIBESONLYIX) I knew I wanted to create a platform for my self-expression. Whether that be through photographic work, life-style blog entries, or DIY crafts. My goal has always been to inspire, empower, and learn from a like-minded community. This is when I began to publish my work via Tumblr. GVIX became my outlet, my canvas, and my heart’s wildest dream. GVIX is Tif.

GOOD to be well; smile; positive.

VIBES to be in harmony; higher vibrations.

IX translates to 9 in roman numerals; in spirituality the number 9 represents spiritual enlightenment and awakening.

Q: THE BEGINNING - WHAT'S THE ORGIN STORY OF GOODVIBESONLYIX?

A: In 2008 I graduated from a wonderful college in a suburb of Boston named Pine Manor College with a degree in Communications. Entering into college I had no idea what I wanted to study – I thought Nursing was the most logical choice in terms of career path and financial security. Most of all I care about people. However, in September of 2005 – I took my first mass media marketing course. That night I read my entire textbook from front to back and loved it! I found my niche. Studying Communications was my thing whether pitching an innovative female-owned sneaker ad or designing merch for a concert that supports water relief for children in Africa. I successfully accomplished projects both individually and within groups – I enjoyed every second of it. Bringing ideas and presentations to life in color, with catchy tag lines, and creating an aesthetic that inspired. I found what I wanted to do with my life.

After college – it was harder than I thought to find a job in my field. So, I put my aspirations, goals, and creative work aside. I worked a few professional jobs that didn’t allow growth and had low employee satisfaction. I don’t want to sound ungrateful because, I was allowed some cool opportunities and I’ve met amazing people along the way. However, I rather be doing what I’m doing right now than the latter. This spark of personal inspiration bought me to GOODVIBESONLYIX in late spring 2015. I wanted to create/publish my work/art. Most of all I use GOODVIBESONLYIX as tool to connect to my people and be at service to my people. My blog pieces range from monthly financial cleanses to life events that changed the course of my life.

In the fall of 2019, I suffered from a massive burnout at work. I left my job officially in October of 2019. I felt liberated and glorious; I was no longer obligated to the place that caused me quite a bit anguish over the years. I’m free – now what? It dawned on me to give my undivided attention to GOODVIBESONLYIX and possibly even create a website! My website would be an extension of my Tumblr space and expand on lifestyle blog pieces. Healing, woman empowerment, and personal photographic artwork would be showcased through my website. Living fully within myself through GOODVIBESONLYIX. Building on my spirituality, self-expression, and creativity.

The GOODVIBESONLYIX website launched on December 22, 2020. Crafting a website is no easy feat – it took a lot of attention to detail, technology lead instruction, and self-motivation. I use the website builder WIX which was recommended by a friend. I pride myself on being very detailed oriented and I’m a proud member of the OCD club. So, I’m sure you can only imagine my frustration when dealing with self-taught system. Making a simple line change to the web design can throw the whole template off! There were many times I had to step away from my work for days and even thought of giving up. That’s when my self-confidence mediation came into play – during these sessions I re-gained the strength, faith and inner belief. That’s when I truly saw it through. I began to write and create content that fueled me. The GOODVIBESONLYIX website provides me with what I deserve out of life – personal fulfillment.

Q: WHAT IS IN THE FUTURE FOR GOODVIBESONLYIX?

A: Where I am today is only by the grace of God and timing. This all began from within – no external forces, disruptions, or distractions. I distanced myself and began to work not only on GVIX but inner-work. Unraveling all that I’ve been through and preparing myself for the future. Mediation, an amazing amount of rest, and simplifying my life created an atmosphere for change. I’m forever grateful for whatever cosmos aligned to put me in the right place at the perfect time. GOODVIBESONLYIX is my baby, sister, best friend, mentor, angel – all the above. She helps me express my feelings, better myself, and create a world that is completely mine without judgment. GOODVIBESONLYIX represents: love is love; meaning there is no fear and no room for any other emotion – solely love alone. It's rare but true. I can only expect more amazing things from GOODVIBESONLYIX because, a better self is a better creative. I have so many ideas - I can only see success for what I put my heart into. I'm following the path God has laid for me. I'm forever thankful x
