The Holidays are approaching. During this time of the year most are consumed with travel, preparing feasts, and of course spending time with loved ones.

One role I hold dear to my heart is being an Aunt to my small tribe. The Joy of Aunty~Hood fuels my intention of becoming a better person. Let's celebrate this season with gratitude for our many blessings.

I love being called Auntie Tif and Tissany ~ very special people call me by these names. To me they will always be my sweet babies. Although, they're growing up faster than I could've ever imagined. Each year my babas get taller, smarter, and wittier. Watching my nephews and nieces expand into their own unique people, is a highlight in my life. There's something about listening to the perspective of a child that's so honest and frank. Each little one keeps me on my toes with their matter-a-fact attitudes and knowledge about new-age tech devices. Literally, blowing my mind.

There are serious perks when you're upgraded to an Aunty; which includes loads of chocolate and seeing the latest cartoon flicks. Becoming an Aunty has taught me how to successfully change a diaper after a poop-explosion and how to ease a public temper-tantrum with bribery. Most importantly, I've learned the power of unconditional love and the magic in laugh therapy. When going through tough times I'm always lifted up with festive outings, video calls, sweet handwritten notes, and kisses that heal my soul. I’m forever thankful because through my tribe – angels saved me.

Get this. . I have more on the way! My sweet baby boy Pablo will be here in a few weeks! His Mama jokes that we're having a Krampus baby. I'm so excited for the bundles of joy entering into my life and adding another family member to my extended family tree. One thing I know for sure, life would be dull without the spirit of children around me. Landing me where I am today ~ grateful. To my Sisters ~ thank you for allowing me to be apart of your lives. Sorry, I spoil your children. It's in my nature!

P.S. ~ Aunty and Auntie were spelled differently on purpose as we go by so many variations including Tia or Tattie. Knowing this is a benefit of having the best girlfriends aka Aunties EVER!
