Color, texture, and clear vibes x

ree

If you know me well enough, you know that my home is where my heart is. In true Virgo fashion, I'm a hermit through and through who has a serious love for all things home. Whether it be furniture, window treatments, appliances, down to a good house cleaning makes my heart flutter. It all began with my mother, every weekend she would clean, dance and feng-shui our apartment. Creating a fun and blossoming environment for a young OCD Tiffany.

My style has always been minimalist-modern-indie vibe. I know it's a lot just bare with me. I've always loved a clean, mild, mute home. Meaning everything having it's place, less being more and the rooms usually having a grey, white, black color scheme going on. However, this season I want to shake it up with color and textures. This piece features my Spring 2020 Mood-Board(s) : color schemes I'm going for, the rooms I'm looking to feng-shui and re-decorate. I'm all about shelves and re-organization this season. Having an open cabinet concept is so ideal when it comes living situation. My overall theme is clean, functional, bright, and inviting. Oh yes, I will have Ari Lennox's album on blasting and on repeat.

HOME DECOR

COLOR PALETTE: Orange hues, lemon brights, and vibrant greens. These colors transition well, making them both budget friendly as well as trans-seasonal from Spring to Summer.

Home practices

Change out your closet from Winter to Spring wardrobe.

Change clocks! Spring forward aka daylight savings begins on 3/8.

Deep clean your home: dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, wash winter linens (bedding, kitchen cloths, etc.) while having your favorite album on repeat.

Diffuse full-bodied citrus scents: Sweet orange, zesty lemon, and robust grapefruit. These essential oils put the entire family including pets in a great and uplifted mood.

Fill home with seasonal fruits and vegetables from your local market. In March asparagus, pineapple and pears are in season. In April indulge in blueberries, carrots, and strawberries.

Palo Santo for Springtime clarity. On most Sunday mornings I will open the front and back door, set my intentions and prayers for the week while I spark some palo santo.

Declutter/purge: Expired, never worn-five seasons too late tops/bottoms/dresses should be donated. Less is more, maximize your space with purging and letting go.

Allow the Spring breeze in and throughout your home. Open/wipe down all window and door in home. Consider changing over heavy curtains to light airy curtains that allow the sunshine to wake you.

Enjoy the season - it's beautiful weather and nature is coming to life. Put together a Spring to-do-list!

Mine includes events, visiting a public garden, and hikes with my pup!

Set up a corner where you are able to fit a yoga mat (preferably near a window). This spot is devoted to YOU! You can mediate, pray, stretch, or even begin your own yoga practice.

Finally buy a house plant - give it a name, talk and water it everyday. Watch your plant grow and capture God's miracle and the reason for the season.

HAPPY SPRING PEEPS
